Hi everyone!
The end of this very special year for us is approaching, and we want to thank you for your support and wish you a great time.
We have some news:
PS5 Upgrade
The PS5 version of Sword of the Necromancer is already available to everyone who owned the PS4 version.
Finally it is an automatic update, without need to "buy" the game again for free. Note that the 2 versions count as separate games, so the saves are not compatible.
We are very sorry for the wait, but there were a lot of issues with changing the PS4 version to a PS4/PS5 one, as Sony's platform is not really made to do this after the game has come out. In fact, at some point there were 2 Sword of the Necromancer entries in the PS Store (one for PS4 and one for PS4/PS5).
On top of that, as the PS4 version was on a sale on November (which didn't affect the PS4/PS5 version as it was a "new release"), the upgrade setup had to wait until the end of it because of how Sony's backend works, and by then everything went slow because of the start of Holiday season.
Anyway, we finally could fix this issue.
Shipping Status
We have finished shipping to everyone who confirmed their address by September 9th (as we asked you for in this update). That is almost 2000 packages!
There are some people who we couldn't send to because the address wasn't a valid one (for example, an Army base we can't send to). Also, there are some packages that have come back because the receiver didn't pick them up.
We have tried to get in contact with these people, but unfortunately most of them didn't reply back, so we have a series of parcels (not many) waiting in our office. If that's your case, please check your email and reply us with an alternative address.
Other packages are stuck in customs waiting for the receiver to pay the costs. Please note that we can do absolutely nothing if your order is stopped at your country's customs.
It's completely out of our power so if you don't pay the costs after a while, the package will be sent back to us. If we send it again, it will be stopped once again and rinse and repeat. If you want to receive the items there is no other way than to pay the customs, we are sorry but that's how international shipping works.
Some people who got plushes as add-ons will have to wait a bit more for the plushes to be ready (quality control is taking more time than expected). We also sent affected people an e-mail to inform of this, and sent them their order without the plushes (of course if your order only contained plushes you haven't been sent anything yet, sorry), also giving them the opportunity to wait to get everything at once if they wished so.
As for the packages that are currently on their way, as you might know there is kind of an ongoing crisis right now with shipping and supply chains. It's one of the reasons we took so long to send all the packages (at some points we literally didn't have boxes to put the things into). So please check your tracking info, and if your package is delayed much time (anyway, expect some delay for the reasons above) or stuck at some place get in contact with the courier (primarily) or us.
Lastly, if you didn't answer the Backerkit survey to choose your rewards, your order and shipping will be processed after we have sent the plushes.
Apologies for the delays with shippings
We owe you an apology in relation to how long it took us to make all the shippings but you also must know this: we are a very small company and we had to take care of everything ourselves (which means 2 or 3 people at most).
Shipping costs have skyrocketed these last months: sending a package to some countries is currently more than double than what we budgeted for, we had problems with suppliers and also we had the pressure of sending everything this year (which we almost did) so backers wouldn't have to wait longer.
In fact, we had to pay most of the shipping costs with our own money, as we didn't want to make you pay even more.
Each one of you had a completely different set of items in your orders (which was an error on our part for giving the possibility, and we take note for the future), but we thought it would be cooler if you could "customize" which rewards you got. Anyway, this was almost too much for us to handle, but we could get away with most of it.

This has been a special year for us. We released a game that we are proud of (and thanks to you!) but we also had to face a lot of troubles. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to you and also grateful for the trust you poured on us.
We have learnt a lot on what to do (and what not) and we feel we mostly delivered, but we still have this bittersweet taste that everything could have gone better given other conditions.
Again, we thank you for your support and hope you enjoy your rewards (and if you haven't got them yet, that you do soon!)
We have some cool things in store for next year, and we hope you can enjoy them with us.
